“N…No,” she replied, not knowing whether to laugh or sigh. Shaking her head, she pointed behind him - at the tunnel.

“You didn’t walk a long way. That tunnel just takes you to place, usually far away. Where did you even find this?”

Bea adjusted her hands into her pockets and slouched a bit, causing her to look much smaller than she really was. She had to raise her head as she spoke with the man as he was much taller than she was.

“No, no!” she quickly replied, waving her hands in front of her body. Her expression was still quite confused, but she tried her best to compose herself.

Have you ever had that awkward moment where you’re walking through a tunnel and suddenly you don’t know where the hell you are?

Yeah, well, Kori was kind of having that moment.

He’d never even seen the tunnel before today, because he’d never gone avidly looking for creepy ass dark fucking tunnels before. But, he’d been bored, wandering around, and had happened to stumble upon it and figured— hey, why the fuck not? Let’s go see what’s on the other end.

Which, in hindsight, was a bad idea. Though he didn’t know it yet, because he came out the other side staring at someone who he’d seen in Chicago so, he, you know, assumed he was still in Chicago. Oh, yeah.

“You’re here again?”

Wait..Bea immediately stopped moving at the sudden shuffling sound. Was someone there? No..They wouldn’t…

Had someone found the tunnel?

Well, really it shouldn’t have surprised it - it a public tunnel, she supposed. It wasnt’ like she owned it or anything. Though, she did feel a sort of attachment to it. Did that count for anything?

Either way, as the figure finally emerged from the dark, Bea’s jaw dropped.

“K…Kori?”

This was certainly a surprise.
